From Construction Delays to Community Connections: How Elior Living Kept Future Residents Engaged Before Move-In
December 1, 2025 - Elior Living manages dining services at 16 Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA) life plan communities across Kansas, Missouri, and now Colorado.
Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with breathtaking views of Pikes Peak, Aberdeen Ridge in Colorado Springs is PMMA’s newest life plan community. Built from the ground up, the community features 171 independent living residences, 40 assisted living apartments, and 35 memory care suites.
When unexpected construction delays pushed back resident move-in dates, Elior Living’s culinary team saw an opportunity. Rather than wait for the doors to open, they created innovative ways to engage future residents, build excitement, and foster meaningful connections to their new community long before they arrived.
By bringing residents together through food-focused experiences and culinary programming, the team helped transform a challenging situation into an opportunity to strengthen relationships and create a sense of belonging from day one.
